SciArt: Science art society

SciArt welcomes Lorenzo and Anna

The SciArt initiative is growing with two new members who bring fresh perspectives in science communication and art–science collaboration. Their diverse expertise strengthens the Joint Research Centre’s mission to connect science and society through creativity and visual storytelling.

About Anna Pagnone

Anna is an environmental physicist who has fallen in love with collaborations between art & science. After working as a climate modeller and joining an expedition aboard an icebreaker in the Southern Ocean, she led the project Portraits of Climate at the University of Hamburg, an initiative exploring human perspectives on climate change through art and dialogue. Currently a visiting scientist in the SciArt Team at the JRC, Anna is passionate about bringing transdisciplinary projects to life, especially those that deepen understanding and inspire societal transformation toward effective climate change mitigation and sustainable adaptation. Her work bridges science and art through co-production and emotional engagement, creating connections between participants and the public.
