Join us this Thursday 9th of February, 11h – 13h CET, for two residency presentations.
Artist-in-residence Penelope Cain will introduce us to her The Entanglement of Desert Water, a project investigating lithium mining and microbial ecosystems in the saline wetlands of the Atacama desert, Chile.
For Compos[t]ing, artists-in-residence Ingrid Ogenstedt, Ingrid Mayrhofer-Hufnagl, Jonah Lynch and Jaime Gomez Ramirez are researching bio-materials and their life-cycles through scientific and vernacular knowledge to develop a large-scale living sculpture that transforms and changes shape over time questioning anthropocentric time-scales and processes.

The presentations are hybrid in format – the artists will be presenting live in the JRC Ispra and remote attendance via Webex will be possible. We welcome you to attend in person to meet the artists, discuss, pose any hot questions, and join us later for lunch of course.
