Synocene // Presentation of Residency

This Thursday 9th March, 3pm CET, artists Sam Nester and Marina Wainer will be presenting their project Synocene at the JRC in Seville.

Followed by a light and sound demonstration, they will showcase the developments of the project so far and its potential outcome, examining perceptions of non-human expressions to invent languages to communicate with ecosystems in a sensitive way.

Synocene is being developed in collaboration with JRC colleague Isabelle Hupont Torres (AI, affective computing and human-machine interaction), and the HUMAINT team, and Lucía Iglesias Blanco, (policy officer working in nature conservation and Natura2000) at DG ENV.

This will be a hybrid presentation/performance. We warmly invite colleagues in Seville to attend in person and prepare for excitement! This will also be an excellent chance to meet and discuss with the artists and colleagues involved.

Please contact JRC-RESONANCES@ec.europa.eu if you would like to receive the link to attend or want to join in person.
