Exhibitions of future artefacts by Futures Garden

Futures Garden - Pioneering Policy Innovation through Speculative Design - embarks on a visionary journey to redefine policy-making for Europe's future. This unique platform collaborates with leading futurists, innovative designers, and engaged EU citizens to delve into emerging trends and issues crucial for Europe's tomorrow. The aim is to revolutionize policy creation by intertwining speculative design with creativity, empathy, and analytical insight.

As part of this mission, artefacts from the future make possible future scenarios more concrete, serving as starter points for critical discussion. They invite to re-imagine every day life and society, exploring both positive implications and embedded tensions.

More about Futures Garden

Futures Garden is the autonomous space of the EU Policy Lab. Within this autonomous space we explore different futures that might have an influence on the future of Europe. The EU Policy Lab is a space for cross-disciplinary exploration and innovation in policymaking. We apply collaborative, systemic and forward-looking approaches to help bringing the scientific knowledge of the Joint Research Centre into EU policymaking. We experiment with the new, the unprecedented and the unknown. We seek to augment our understanding of the present, challenge and reinvent the way we think about the future. Futures Garden is commissioned by the DG for Research & Innovation through the Foresight on Demand framework contract.
