NaturArchy Exhibition Opening 24/25 May 2024

The opening events of the NaturArchy Exhibition will spread over two days: the opening itself at the Art Centre on Friday 24th May, a second opening in the Parc du Cinquantenaire, a workshop in the Forêt de Soignes on 25 May.

The opening itself, on 24 May, will start at LaVallée, rue Adolphe Lavallée 39, 1080 Brussels, with a panel featuring two external curators Ingeborg Reichle and Claudia Schnugg, artist Paolo Cirio, anthropological law researcher Saskia Vermeylen and research activist Céline Charvériat .

Proceedings will then move to iMAL, 30 Quai des Charbonnages, Brussels (a six minutes’ walk) with brief interventions in the Art Centre by personalities from Brussels, from the Regional Government to the township of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, and iMAL director Lucía Garcia.

On Saturday 25th May, the programme foresees a separate opening moment for the sculpture Compos(t)ing by Ingrid Ogenstedt in the Parc du Cinquantenaire at 11:00 AM, in the presence of ex-BOZAR director Paul Dujardin. Throughout the day a workshop with artists Marina Wainer and Sam Nester on their Synocene project and installation will take place in the Forêt de Soignes (starting from Centre Culturel Wabo, Delleurlaan 39, 1170 Brussels). The public engagement programme will also take fold with NOS FUTURS RADIO : Nonhuman lives in Brussels at iMAL - a radio show by Le Biais Vert collective at iMAL, 16:00-18:00 open to the public (registration required). More information on iMAL's website.

These events are open to the public and free of charge (registration is required for the Synocene workshop). You find the full programme below.
