NaturArchy Residencies: Lament BACK @ JRC Ispra

The Lament team finally comes together at JRC! Margherita Pevere is back for her second residency at JRC and she’ll be joined by the full team next week (05/06 – 09/06): Ivan Penov (sound recordings), Lucia Iglesias Blanco (Natura 2000 policy) and Céline Charveriat (citizen engagement and environmental activism) and Diana Vieira (JRC, wildfires).

They will work together to further develop the project which artistically engages with ecological grief by responding to the changes in an ecosystem after anthropogenic wildfires and wants to stir people to respond to the death of the natural environment, developing also citizen engagement strategies for groups living in areas affected by wildfires. Lament will be a composite piece offering intimacy with more-than-human death and space for grief. It will take place partly on the site of anthropogenic fires through a participative performance and partly in the exhibition venue with an installation.

Margherita will be presenting on this collaboration and work in progress while at the JRC, together with her collaborators, on Wednesday 07/06 afternoon. The presentation will be hybrid in format and Webex attendance will be possible, details to be confirmed. If you would like to receive the link to attend please contact  @JRC-RESONANCES@ec.europa.eu

This residency is being conducted in the framework of Resonances IV on NaturArchy: Towards a Natural Contract
